This was an autumn hike up Wetterhorn Peak in the San Juan Mountains -- my first class 3 summit. I'm certainly no pro, like Chris Tomer -- I've only summited nine 14ers in Colorado. Wetterhorn was an exhilarating climb with a couple of friends, and perfect fall day with no threat of afternoon storms to chase us off. We were able to take our time, be safe, and enjoy the amazing experience. |
