The International Wine Guild is dedicated to fostering wine education at the highest levels and helping both wine professionals and wine enthusiasts increase and expand their knowledge and understanding of wine.
The International Wine Guild is offering TWO (2) classes for 50% OFF:
1) Fundamentals for Professionals: Wine Basics (no prerequisites required and lunch is provided)
Wine Basics is a one-day, weekend course for those who would like a basic overview of the fundamentals of red, white, rosé, fortified, sparkling & late harvest wines . In this one-day short course you will:
• Learn about still, effervescent, fortified and late harvest wines
• Get an overview of wine making
• Learn some basic wine terminology
• Taste at least 8 wines
• Receive 20 pages of handout material
2) Fundamentals for Professionals: Wine Components (no prerequisites required and lunch is provided)
Wine Components is a one-day, weekend course for those who would like a basic introduction to wine components (vision, smell, taste). In this one-day short course you will:
• Learn basic wine evaluation techniques
• Learn wine visual evaluation
• Learn about wine smell evaluation via a smell exercise of the 30 most common smells in wine
• Learn about wine taste evaluation via a taste exercise to learn how to distinguish tannins, acids, sugars and alcohol in wine
• Taste at least 8 wines
• Receive 30 pages of handout material
