Strange Brewing Company is the realization of a dream shared by two out-of-work IT Techs, John Fletcher and Tim Myers. Two avid homebrewers, John and Tim had worked together at the Rocky Mountain News before that newspaper closed in February, 2009. Suddenly unemployed, they needed a Plan B. So with their combined retirement savings, Tim's and John's homebrew recipes, and Tim's 20-gallon homebrew equipment, they set out to open Strange.
John started homebrewing small batches in his kitchen in 1989. Most batches were three gallons at a time, allowing John to try many recipes and improve on them. Tim's first batch was for his wedding in 1997. After his third batch boiled over and flooded the kitchen, Tim was moved to the back deck. A chance encounter with a CraigsList ad in December 2005 for a professional brew sculpture lit the flame that eventually became Strange Brewing Company.
Strange opened on May 19th, 2010, as a one-barrel microbrewery. Starting out small allowed John and Tim to focus more on the recipes than on running and building a small business. Brewing one barrel at a time allowed them to experiment and tweak, refining recipes for the day when a larger brew system would be employed.

The Brewery was made by the Ziemann GmbH in 1963. It was installed at the Bucher Bräu in the German city of Grafenau and used there until 1984. In 1984 it was overhauled and sold to Brauerei Hümmer of Breitengüßbach, Germany, a village in the Franconian region of Bavaria.
Brauerei Hümmer started brewing beer in the Franconian village of Breitengüßbach in 1642. The brewery served the town for over 350 years until the spring of 2011. It made several styles including Altfränkisches Dunkel Bier, a rare specialty beer that we will revive in Denver.

Denver B-cycle was the first large-scale municipal bike sharing system in the United States. We are placing dozens of special bike stations (B-stations) in downtown Denver as well as the Cherry Creek and Denver University neighborhoods. Denver B-cycle members will be able to pick up one of the red bikes at any B-station and drop it off at any B-station.

Scott and Patrice Holtzer are the owners of Fiocchi's Pizzeria. They have been in the restaurant business since 1983. Their first restaurant was Pour La France in Snowmass Village, a modest little Cafe that introduced the small country ski town to a wonderful coffee drink called Cappuccino. When they moved to Denver in 1998, they and a few fellow employees took over ownership of the Pour La France in the Bonnie Brae district and turned it into Seven-30 South a local neighborhood grill that they sold in 2005.
In 2010 they opened the Pasquini's Pizzeria in the DTC, before changing the name to Fiocchi's Pizzeria and bar in July of 2012. Scott and Patrice are hands on owners; designing, building and overseeing the daily operations of their restaurants.
Fiocchi's Pizzeria prides itself on fresh ingredients, great customer service, and loyalty to their guests. They host several fundraisers including the most recent for the African Community Center, raising money for a mother who lost her children last month in a hit-and-run accident.
The restaurant also hosts a variety of groups and communities in their banquet room and can do outside catering to larger groups in different venues. The banquet room is along side a beautiful billiard table with a full service premium bar. The restaurant offers daily evening and lunch specials and a generous happy hour.
